Outback 325bh outdoor kitchen door issue

Anyone else ever have a problem with the shocks & mounts on the outdoor kitchen door? I've bent 2 shocks and it ripped the mount out of the wall. Not really sure how to fix this. I've attached a few pictures. Thanks in advance

Looks to me that alignment between the door and the other end have to curve around the door wall. Not exactly a straight open/close. Might want to readjust the mounting point to make it a straight shot at opening and closing rather than going around the wall. Just the way I'm viewing the photo.

That looks crooked to me as well. Hard to tell from the pic but is the ball mount for the air lift facing the wall?

It also appears to me the strut rod actually has a curve in it.
I'd screw & glue a piece 1×2" or 1×4" x 6-8-10" long, whatever it takes to get the curve out, on the inside wall which would also give a better screw hold for the strut.
On the door side I epoxied a 2" wide × 6" piece, it's what I had laying around, of aluminum to the inside of the door & then put the screws for the strut bracket.
