Keeping framed pictures on walls
We have some pictures in glassless frames, weighing maybe one pound that we cannot keep on the walls. We have used the COMMAND brand of stick on picture goop, but, due to the extreme range of temperatures in the garage, they fall off. Doesn’t matter if the weather is hot or cold, they don’t stay. Are pictures just not meant to be attached to the walls of trailers? I didn’t want to try to use anything that would puncture the walls…

We use the command picture hangers, that have a velcro like surface connecting the 2 pieces. They have worked without a problem. We wipe the wall and frame with alcohol pads to clean the surface before applying the command hanger.

IMO it depends on the use of the RV. Do you live in it and never move? If so try to hang some pictures. Do you travel and go from place to place? If so, no pictures aren't meant to be hung on a hopping, banging RV traveling down the highway. My pictures stay in the S&B.

We have hung a clock on the wall, small screw at the top and about an inch piece of velcro at the bottom to keep it from moving. Hasn't been a problem for 15 years in several different RVs. Also - we have small pictures in mats only, and use a small piece of velcro at each corner. Holds tight and the velcro removes from the wall if and when you sell or get tired of the picture.

Cool, but how is the wire held on the wall? I tried to put a screw in, but the wallboard didn’t seem strong enough.

Push in picture hanging hooks, hook on outside angled brad sized pin on back, just work into paneling.

Sometimes adding museum putty/wax to the corners of the frame helps to keep all the jouncing strain off the main hanger. Get the non-staining kind if the surface is wallpaper.

I put a brad or 4 penny finish nail in the wall to support the weight and then to restrict movement the bottom corners get the Command hook and loop.

That's what I have used too. Only place it failed is a small frame over the door...from slamming it shut. Added twice the command velcro pads and it has stayed up so far.

We use Nano Tape. Best stuff I've seen for hanging stuff where you don't wont a hole in the wall.
