Wiring evaluation is recommended if the coach does not have proper size wiring for the 80 AMP per Lippert.

And what size wire is necessary to be safe with the upgraded 80 amp breaker? 8ga, 6ga, 4ga or 1ga?

I have not yet looked at my system, but I will later today after it warms up a bit, it's in my driveway... Aren't most wires marked with their size every 6" or so?

Thanks again guys, great thread.

Dan

Depends on the insulation temperature rating of the wire.

For 60°C, 3awg
For 75°C or 90°F, 4awg
For 105°C (typical marine grade), 6awg

Just checked my wiring from the relay to the power unit and it's 6awg/105°C leads.

The battery cables are also 6awg, but I couldn't find the covering rating and it appears to be all the original Keystone wires. There's no longer wires than 20", so length will not be a factor.

I'm guessing that I'm good to go on the 80 amp replacement.

Sound good?

Thanks, Dan

Regarding the location of the breaker, on my 2019 3120 the breaker is in the back wall behind the batteries about 13 inches on the wall. And the breaker pops a little flag comes out and you just reset the flag.
The Lippert Tech you spoke with is SADLY IN ERROR. Lippert has had two different TI Sheets out since at least 2012 on the 50 amp breaker issue..

If the OEM wire gauge is 4 and the length is 3 to 4 feet from the 80 amp breaker to dual polarity solenoid then wiring is fine..

Also verify the wire gauge and length on the source side of the resettable breaker

Lipperts own install manual even states 80 amp breaker..

If you don’t upgrade the OEM 50 amp breaker to the hud pump motor solenoid you will have nothing but issues

Also if you have In Command then every time you spike that 12 volt DC BUS the BCM on the In Command will not like the surges and spikes…

Want more problems ? Keep running that OEM 50 amp breaker and you will have more problems

LCI leveling system

Has any one had problems with there LCI leveling system. I have a 2020 Raptor351 and the front legs will retract fully in 4 to 5 weeks. Side to side is ok. Just the front will leak down. I can level it at 0.0 in four days it is at 0.2 and steadily goes down. We have blead the system as to make sure there is no air in it. This was recommended by LCI company.

Just looking to get it fixed...... Any suggestion's is appreciated .
