What Happen ?

A friend of has a Solitude 310GK, he just returned from a trip out west from michigan on the last leg of his trip he notice that the trailer wasn't tracking right,5 miles from the campground he pulled in to the campground he check his trailer out and found the rear sprin g hanger was ripped of the trailer. What i want to know what you guys think probably happen ,have you guys seen this before ? I have a Cougar 310 and is there anything i could so this won't happen to mine rig

Looks like the welds are intact, so it had to be some kind of torsional tension. Just thinking out loud, maybe some real sharp turns on concrete/pavement?

seen this happen on another friend's trailer this weekend. just need to check it, its a poor design and not reinforced enough.
