Yep, I carry a couple boxes of those gloves in the trailer storage bay. Remembering they are there is another matter. Shoe covers....hmmm. Might get a chuckle from the truck drivers. But they would be better than smelling diesel for 3 hours.
I have used rv lanes at truck stop somewhere. That wasn't too bad.
I guess I have a mental block about truck stops. I think I should get a Pilot credit card and get on with it.
And speaking of price....I have an assumption that those large trucking firms aren't paying that inflated retail price. I think that is just for "us".

The word I got from an owner of a small/medium trucking company in Memphis that we serviced for years is that the "big boys" get between 10 and 30 cents depending on how big their account is and how well they pay.

If you're a Good Sam member you get a discount at Pilot. You don't need their card. I use a cash back card and get another 2-3% off the discount price. I can tow 250-300 miles, which is all I care to tow in a day (300 miles or 3PM). I hit the park, unhitch and find a diesel pump with Gas Buddy before calling it a night. Sometimes that plan doesn't work, but more often than not it does, so I can avoid the dirtier truck stops.
