Spare Tire Mount

I'm thinking of getting the spare tire off the back bumper. I have been looking at the BAL Hide-A-Spare. OEM mount for under the 5ver. Have any you tried this or had any experience with one. Looking for comments both bad and good.

Excellent product.... I put one on our prior FW and was very easy to install. Just make sure you order the correct one as there are different ones based on the frame configuration of your trailer.

Installed on my 5'r. Gets it out of the way and easy to use. There are some photos on the forum of people who have installed it, included some I posted.

Search the net for a good price. Some places want to charge outrageous shipping charges.

Just be careful of where your, Fresh, Grey and Black tanks are. You would not want to put holes in them mounting in to your frame.

Installed one also this summer and had no problems. Nice unit and sure better than on the bumper where I had the unfortunate incident of bending it about 30 degrees coming out of a gas station due to the incline. Have since added 6 inches to the height of the bumper carrier, placed a steel wheel and affixed my 50 amp cord, cable lock and soon to be a small tire cover.
