wireless backup camera

tried the wireless route on a 28ft. TT behind my econoline ford van, not happy with the reception from camera, jumpy fading in and out, not a cheap unit at 185.00 either, ordered enough wire to hard wire whole system, now have trailer camera on full time (run with lights on always) plus reversing camera on van, mounted van camera between hitch and bumper, back right to tra. coupler perfect,

For those looking to install a backup camera on their trailer, consider this option: Instead of buying an expensive turnkey system for $200-$300 that comes with a camera, a monitor and cables, consider upgrading your stereo to one with a screen (Pioneer 4300 is under $350 and comes with anytime rear view camera view, dual zone entertainment, etc.). Then buy a camera off of EBay or Amazon for $30 to mount to your Trailer. The final product is pretty clean (less wires and clutter on your dash), has much more functionality, and is a better price for the money (in my opinion) than other options.
