guitars in trailer

This is probably a weird question but hopefully somebody will have had some experience with this. We have a trailer on a seasonal site and usually we go up each weekend and for several weeks dispersed throughout the summer. We have an acoustic guitar and an acoustic bass (guitar) that we take up with us each trip but now we have bought a smaller car and we're going to have trouble fitting stuff in. What I'm wondering is if it would be okay to buy some extra guitars to store up at the trailer so that we won't have to be transporting them. If they are in cases would they be okay? Or does the temperature of the trailer get so hot that they will be totally damaged. Anybody else leave instruments in their trailers?
thanks,
parkgirl

I personally wouldn't leave then in the trailer simply due to the vast temperature differences.

I leave my inexpensive but nice guitar in my TT and have not had any trouble, I've done this for years. I don't think I would leave a high dollar guitar in that heat though, would not want to risk it. I bought a used one just for that purpose. Has worked out fine so far.

thanks for the replies. That's great to hear sbmarks3. That's exactly what we were thinking, to find some cheap used instruments to leave there. Now we'll do it for sure.
