Bathroom Mods

The Hideout 27dbs we just ordered is really short on storage space in the bathroom. Anyone have any ideas on adding shelves, etc? We never made any mods to our old trailer, so not sure whether its okay to be drilling holes in the interior walls of the trailer. TIA

I can't see any problems with adding shelves if you have the room, I plan on adding a different kind of towel rack that I'm going to build in the shop.
What were you thinking as far as shelving? Could you take a pick of your bathroom for us?

Bathroom Pics

I won't get the ordered trailer for 8 weeks, but these are the ones I took at the RV show. There's a medicine cabinet and the sink, but the space under the sink is half taken up by the water hoses. Or does anyone has a creative storage solution for the shower? Not like you can hang a rack from the showerhead to put stuff in...The rest of the trailer has fantastic storage!

We doubled our storage space under the sink by adding a shelf. Made the frame from oak covered it with 5/16" cabinet grade oak plywood. Stained to match.
Can't seem to locate the pics, but, do a search. There have been several threads about adding shelves to various cabinets.

You can double-stick tape stuff on the walls of the shower. I have a shampoo/conditioner/soap dispenser.

I did add a shelf above the toilet, but it went wall-to-wall, making it easy to install and fairly sturdy. It doesn't look like you have the wall-to-wall option, so I'd recommend getting a stud finder to see if you can tap into the studs to mount a shelf. Keep in mind that if it's just a flat shelf, stuff will fall off in transit.

And I also did the above-mentioned shelf mod below my sink. I cut slots for the pipes and tubes.

I added a shelf in the medicine cabinet and put "galley rails" on them all to keep stuff from falling out. .... One of these days I will get around to staining things to match.

From the looks of the first pic I would say that you have some nice wall space to the right of the cabinet to put a nice wall rack with towel holders. It's amazing what one can do with a little bit of room to play with.
The second pic I have the same problem with the space under the sink. There's room for me to put some sort of shelf in there but that's way on the bottom of the bucket list.

We put a small plastic storage bin under the sink for shampoo, conditioner, etc. added decorative command hooks beside the med cabinet for hand towels, and in the shower for wet towels & bathing suits. Beach towels & bath towels are in a cabinet outside to the bathroom door.

I tie wrapped 2 plastic shelves together and hung them in the shower.

we just did the walk thru Saturday. I asked the guy about hanging stuff on the walls. He told us if you shine a flashlight on the walls, you will see faint staple marks and that's where your studs are. I did find something to try inside the shower. I was at Walmart and they had a Command bath caddy that sticks to the wall. Holds shampoo/conditioner/etc. Says it holds 7.5pounds. We'll see how that works. Thanks for all your suggestions, I'm going to look into them for the wall storage.

We hung a 9 bottle wine rack in the bathroom as a towel rack. Roll the towels up and place then in the rack. I'll try to add some picks when I pick the RV up. Probably the best space saving mod we have done, plus the towels are readily available when you step out of the shower.
