PDI, Dealer cost?
Inquiring minds need to know - Does Keystone compensate $$ it's Laredo dealers for the PDI? Or is the new owner expected to pay the dealer for an extensive PDI?

Is your dealer going to charge you? I don't think it matters which line of Keystone, but my dealer allocated an hour of someone's time. That should be enough.
If you know your way around a trailer, give yourself an hour or two to explore and test, then take that last hour with a tech to answer any questions and to request any fixes before you take possession.

I'm not exactly sure if they charge, but I certainly do not intend to pay. I have a pdi & maintenance list and just wondered if anyone knew.

Have heard some do charge but I have not encountered that myself.
Best to ask before you commit

If you're getting a PDI then you can bet the price of it is included somewhere in the price of the RV quoted to you.
I've had some dealers say , "oh we don't charge customers PDI". Yea right- believe me folks the price is in there somewhere.....
Happy trails,

I have purchased 6 RV's in Or/Wa from dealers and had PDIs on all of them and never paid a fee for it. I would think that the dealer would have that time covered in the priceing of the RV. The keystone I listed here was done by the salesman. Seens rude to add that to the cost of the RV on paper.

Whether it is listed as a seperate line item or not is irrelevant. It is included in the cost somewhere. All that matters is the bottom line number and if you are happy with it or not. The buyer has all the power to dictate the terms by walking away before money changes hands.

Once the dealer gives you a price, that's the price you should expect to walk out with. How their accounting people break it down internally is irrelevant to me. I just better not see an additional charge for it on the invoice.

YES! But it is my money and they had better be willing to spend the time or my money walks.
I'm sure that this should be under part of the "Dealer prep" that Keystone allows the dealer.

Keystone provides its dealers with a lump sum prep allowance for every unit delivered. The amount varies based in size/type. A tech at my dealer told me it can be over $1,000. From what I understand Keystone must figure that the allowance paid to the dealer is more cost effective than actually cleaning sawdust and doing their own PDI and QC check before it leaves the factory.
I would laugh at any dealer that wanted to charge for this.

One thing I really liked about the inspection that General RV has is they pressurize the trailer and then squirt a soapy solution around the windows- doors- etc.. looking for leaks (bubbles). If they find one they fix it.
I hate leaks- just hate em...

Bill, GeneralRV even did that with my used 2008 Laredo I purchased from them last year. A tech walked me through every function of the unit also, including proper hook up of my WD hitch. My walkthrough/inspection was very thorough. No listed charge, so if they will do this for a used RV, then I would suspect they would be as thorough on a new unit.
