Cupboard Doors

I am out in my camper tonight going through odds and ends and getting it ready for our first trip in a couple of weeks. One item I notice is most cupboard doors are very tight, so tight one door will not close unless you open the second and close both at the same time. The overlap of say the right door onto the left door is about 1mm.

Is this something I should have the dealer adjust or just leave it. I would rather not have the hinges adjusted leaving holes in the doors and see that as the only fix.

If you have a table saw, then you could trim about an 1/8" or so off each of the two adjoining doors. This would result in a wider space between the two doors and should allow each door to close on its own. Stain to match and apply some polyurethane or similar clear finish.

Cupboard Doors

It could be due to the doors expanding due to moisture, cabinet doors expand and shrink according to the moisture in the air.

No need to drill new holes. Just loosen up the screws a bit and see if the hinges will reposition just enough to allow the doors to close easily and separately. Tighten screws and reward self with beverage of choice.

No need to cut or drill in most cases. Just a simple adjustment
