If you're looking for information on the features of each, then posting either here or in Odds and Ends would be OK. If you are going to advertise "want to buy a golf cart" then you might want to post in the For Sale/Wanted section. I hope you get the answers you're looking for.

My parents have a Club Car electric. It's SoCal made, so it's convenient for us. I'm not sure if they're available across the country. It's pretty darned old, as it belonged to the parents of their friends. It's still in great shape and they have a semi-local shop that does its periodic maintenance. A used electric one can be had for a couple grand.

Something to think about. some campgrounds do not allow gas carts. I found this out the hard way. Also though not enforced most of the time the driver of the cart must have a valid DL We also have to carry a 100.000$ insurance policy but that is cheap less than 50.00$ a year for us.

My parents bought a gas one. But we found out that when u go to campgrounds. U have to provide liability insurance on the golf cart. Also found out some campgrounds only allow electric carts since noise level of gas ones. Also if driving after dark must have a head light an tail light kit on it. Just some things to check into. Good luck.

As others have said, if the cart is allowed at all, some require it to be electric. Proof of insurance will be needed and many will charge a fee and require an inspection. Safety equipment are lights and back up buzzer. Some will require you to display your site number so they can find you if you do something wrong. I use to have an EZ Go 36 volt electric which I liked.

Electric is the way to go for camp grounds. Most of the camp grounds weve been at dont really require a inspection aorund here but the insurance is a must. Its cheap anyway. The electric is quiet and there really isnt much to them if something should need a repair. Were building ours as we speak. Its really fun.

Check out buggiesgonewild. You can read for days.

Our CG requires Ins, think it cost us $45 a yr. They dont do any Inspection,
but do require all operators to be licensed, and a light kit if using after dark.

We have a electric EZGO, and like it alot. Just be sure it has good batteries. Batteries last around 5-7 yrs IF you take care of them, and cost $600 or more to replace.
