Outside Docking Light Problem

Sorry to jump your thread but maybe you have seen this problem. We just purchased a 2013 Cougar 327RES and I cant get the outside docking lite to shut off. I don't have the RV hooked up to shore power and the Battery Disconnect is in the off position. This is the lite on the front of the unit. Thank you for any input on this Matter.

Marty.

Remote? The ones on my Outback are on a switch that's well hidden in the front cap.

There's a switch for the docking lights right next to the landing gear switch on the front of our Cougar. It's on the outside just to the right of the large compartment door. I don't think the remote even has a position for the lights on it. I'll have to double check that in the spring when we get it out of storage.

my 2011 cougar has a light button on the remote. If the lights get turned on by the remote, they won't shut off anywhere else but the remote. There is a switch next to the lading gear switch for the lights, but it will not turn them off there if it was turned on by remote. Pheww!!!

My 318SAB's remote has a docking light switch and, yes, if the docking lights were turned on, either accidentally or intentionally, with the remote, the only way to turn them off is with the remote.

As an aside; the disconnect is wired after the remote's receiver and control board (the board is hardwired directly to the battery) and all of the devices controlled by the remote will work regardless of the disconnect's on/off status. The only way to kill or disable the devices controllable by the remote is to pull the cables directly from the battery. I tried it on mine; pulled the disconnect and then tested all the devices that were controllable by the remote; landing gear, docking lights, slides, etc. still worked both by the remote and from their respective switches.

Thanks so much that was it! Lite on the remote, I called the dealer and they didn't have a clue. We just brought it home Wednesday. Went from a 30' TT to this 327 and are pulling it with a 1996 F350 7.3 PSD XLT CC 8' Bed.

Thanks again,
Marty

I'm hoping you folks might be able to help with a similar question. We just bought a 2013 Cougar 320QBS. When I turn on the docking lights using either the switch or the remote, the circular LED light right over the hitch goes on, but not either of the accent "eyebrow" led strings on either side. I suspect it's a wiring problem unless there's an alternate switch I'm unaware of?

Thanks in advance!

There is a switch on the inside, I have a 2013 RES327 and the switch is located under the Thermostat. The remote has nothing to do with those lites.

Steve

On the remote, three buttons on top, left button has light bulb symbol. This is a direct switch not in the menu.
