Darn tootin' I did it (Dual 6V)

I've always wanted to upgrade my weak Interstate 12V battery. After lots of reading, I couldn't pass up the Costco GC2 batteries. They're about half the price of the Trojans.

Installation was a breeze and properly sized battery boxes will be here on Wednesday. The extra weight? I'll just go on the premise it adds just 15% of the additional weight to the tongue and shift things around accordingly to make that happen.

We're going to celebrate by dry camping in the Mojave.

Oh, and that shiny diamond plate plastic across the front of my trailer? It's conductive. Maybe it's not plastic, or the shininess is a metallic coating.

I miss El Mirage

Used to go there all the time when I lived in LA.
