Shades

When using electric awning shades, should your awning be all the way out or can you lower it and then use the shade. If lower I would block the arms from going lower and then use ratchet straps to hold it down from going back up. Awning is very high when all the way out. Any thoughts or experiences? Thanks, Bob

This is the solution I use to pull awning down and tighten the knobs.
