Samsung Residential fridge

I’m interested to know if anyone has had trouble with there fridge when the outside temperature gets over 105 degrees? If so what did you do to help
The fridge from not keeping up with the fridge temperature.
Just asking before the hot wave hits this weekend.

Ours has never had an issue when it is hot and humid out. The only issue I have noticed is how slow the ice maker is. It only makes 4 to 5 batches of ice per day.

The general rule would to be to find a small access (or develop one) towards the bottom of the rear and place a fan (use your jerry-rig imagination) in said location and let it fly. The heat needs to move away from the bottom towards the rear or out the front however you do it. Even desk top computer fans have been used.

I had no problem with mine last summer in 110 with 70% humidity kept 38 and minus 2 all summer. In storage and in use.. never missed a beat.

Haven't hit a hundred but once this year but still going strong.

Be aware that there is a "caution" in the Keystone Owner's Manual warning against using the Residential refrigerators if the interior temperature of the coach is hotter than 110F.

"By design, these refrigerators will not operate properly when indoor air temperatures exceed approximately 110 degrees Fahrenheit. In addition, operating the refrigerator in these conditions could cause compressor failure which may not be considered warrantable. Leave the air conditioner set at a temperature below this if the refrigerator is left running in a vehicle that is not being used or shut it off."

There are only a very few situations where the interior temperature would be greater than 110F. Situations like towing in the desert southwest during the hottest months with the refrigerator operating on the inverter is one such time where caution would be recommended. Another is storing the trailer with the refrigerator working and the air conditioners turned off with no ventilation in the coach. I'm sure there are a few others as well.

When you analyze the situation, with a residential refrigerator, there is no "venting to the outside" so as long as the coach interior temperature remains comfortable with the air conditioning operating, there should be no impact on residential refrigerator function.

I do store the trailer under a roof and open both ceiling vents. I doubt the inside temperature ever gets to 110.
I do not run the A/C because I only have 15 amps.

I don't operate properly when indoor or out door temps reach 110 either.

Off topic, but just cant resist:

Sorry about this, but the "older" you get the less proper you work too. Add the heat and we don't stand a chance of EVER working "proper" again!
