A battery disconnect switch that is ON is disconnecting the battery. Replace TRUE for ON might help. The description confuses a lot of people. One way to remember what to do is if the switch can be removed from the wall the batteries are disconnected.

Yes you should and the only reason it isn't is because the battery disconnect switch is ON meaning the battery is disconnected. BTW, that battery will be useless.

Mine is the opposite. On means the battery is on and connected. Off means the battery is disconnected.
Sorry for the upside down picture. I've never figured out how to flip them.

Regardless whether on is off or off is on the OEM disconnect does not totally disconnect your battery. Physically disconnecting the cables is the only way to completely disconnect the battery.

Ours is set up like Steveo's. Off means the power is off. That was the reason for my "don't understand" comment. I think I like the way ours is labeled. Off means the battery power is off to the coach and the converter power is off to the batteries.
Because there is obviously confusion as to how the disconnect might be labeled, if you can remove the key, it's OFF.
Understand that there are some items in the coach that are NOT wired through the disconnect.

At least on my identical switch, when the key can NOT be removed the battery is connected and the large part of the switch is 'pointing' at OFF. It appears you have confused yourself by treating the small part of the switch as the indicator.

You could have saved the trouble of relabeling by placing the arrow on the long end of the handle, look at it like and clock hand, the longer end is the indicator.
I installed one of these in my battery box, no questions if it's on or off.
