Extreme inside tread wear

We just returned from a 12,000 mile trip with our 2016 Alpine. All four tires showing extreme tread wear on inside of tires. Tires came stock with new fifthweel 3511RE. Sorry i don't have brand of tire but company that provided tires to Keystone is HisPec. Local tire guy said it appears to be an alignment or possibly an axle issue. Max inflate is 110 psi and i ran them at 100 psi. Approx weight is 15,000 loaded. Anyone have similar issues?

Your local large truck alignment company can solve your problem. It's what they do.

Inside tread wear is usually caused by "negative camber". This is part of a standard alignment on an automobile. You see this on automobiles when the axle is overloaded and the tires flare outward at the bottom. Don't know how they fix this on a trailer axle but I'd follow Jim's advice and have the alignment checked.
BTW are you in Payson, UT?

Others may disagree, that's ok. If the max psi is 110, then you should run them at 110, not 100.

I think the first things I would do is 1) inflate tires to max 110 psi and 2) get to a scale fully loaded just as you were on the trip and see exactly what you are dealing with. It sure sounds like you could be running over the axle limits and they are bending. Check each wheel/axle if possible to see what's going on.

Thought it might have been Payson, UT. There is a OTR trailer repair/alignment shop in Salt Lake.
One other thought, all trailer axles have a slight bow to the top. wonder if these might have been installed upside down?? Don't know if that's even possible.

Thanks for the info. I have Alpine in now for allignment. Had to take it to a place in Phoenix that does big rigs, gire trucks, etc. Will find out whats up in a few days. All seems to be leaning toward allignment issue.

If you can't find anything closer, RWC Group on East Huntington in Flagstaff can fix you up. They did an alignment on my dually this summer when I couldn't find any other place that could fit it on the rack. You may be closer to Phx so look there for a shop that works on OTR trucks.

It is about the same distance either way for us. It's at SpeTrac in Gilbert now. They came highly recommended. Will let you know how it turns out.

Just a follow-up. Just got a call from allignment shop and both axles were out of allignment enough to cause the extreme tread wear. 430.00 to get them back to where they belong. Thanks for all the comments. Safe travels.
