Wiring Electric Hot water to Breaker...

Have 17 keystone hideout 262LHS...in the panel box inside i have a 15 Amp breaker labeled water heater... unfortunately i dont have it connected i see they make addons to turn hot water tank into electric they accomplish this with an outlet.... my question is has anyone done this before? Unfortunately the way my Hideout is set up the hot water tank is underneath the floor in the rear of the traveltrailer I believe I would have to take off some of the underskirting underneath to gain access to run wire to the breaker and Add a switch inside the traveltrailer any help with this would be greatly appreciated

Before you do anything, look at the water heater and see if it's even setup for both LP and AC.

Look at the front of the water heater, down near the bottom off to the left will be plug. That is the drain, next to it if there is an oblong plastic cover held on with 3 screws then you have an electrical element. If there isn't then you would need to replace the water heater. To my knowledge there isn't any "add on" for a water heater to be electric.

Interesting, learn something new every day. Looks like the element goes in the drain.

There should be access to the back of the water heater for the bypass valves. You should be able to find a way to route the wiring to that area and then depending on where the breaker panel is run it in the underbelly.

After reading some folks issue's with running to many things with only 30amps available. Another option would be to isolate the circuit for that heating element by adding another power cord to plug into the 15 amp shore box along side the 30. This way one can still have the full 30 amps available so the AC for example can still be left on with the micro wave plus the water heater.
