2014 Cougar 331MKS mold and moisture behind sofa

I have a mold and moisture issue behind the sofa on the exterior slide wall. I can see two carriage bolts that are severely rusted. Moisture is about a foot up the wall and seems to follow the studs even farther up. Has anyone else noticed this? This is our second new cougar in 2 1/2 years and we've liked them both.

Living in Louisiana, it's probably condensation from lack of air movement behind the sofa, Try pulling it out, put a fan back there to dry it out, clean the mold/mildew off the walls/carpet/sofa back, then leave it out from the wall a couple of inches so there's more air movement. That should prevent it from happening again. If not, let us know and we can talk about more "drastic measures"...

You might try some Consan 20 after you get the air circulating. I would be sure to follow label directions, and also test in an inconspicuous place. Like behind the sofa!

We are FT so we're not always in La. Usually only 6-8 weeks. Have a dehumidifier already so I'll look at airflow and see what happens next. Thnx.
