Sewer hook up

We are new to pulling a TT and know sooner or later we are going to be "short" with our sewer line hook up, the one that came with our hideout is like 7-8 feet. Can u add to it and how long would u recommend ? Are the flex able hose support good to have , what is the purpose?

If I were you, I'd forget about adding to the hose. Go out and buy something like a Camco Rhino Flex 15 ft kit with swivel fittings Pt No 39761. You can get a hose like this online at eBay and Amazon or Camping World.

The more joins and fittings you have, the greater potential for leaks.

The flexible "accordian-like" hose supports are handy to have. They are compact and when used, provide a nice, tapered platform for your hose to rest on. It makes the transition from the RV's sewer connection to the campground sewer smoother and without sharp bends. You want all the "stuff" to flow - without obstruction and backing up - away from the RV to the CG sewer connection.

If you wish, you could get another 10 ft hose just in case the 15 footer isn't long enough or start with a 20 ft hose.

You can add a coupler and put a second hose on, but who wants to work on that once the hose has been used a bit? I prefer the rhinoflex hose, they are very strong/durable and have a very easy to use thread on coupler systems where you can add a second hose if/when needed. Additionally, the main hose is 15' long so the chances of needing the extension are small.

After spending a week at a campground with full hookups that I could not use because my sewer hose was too short I went out and bought four of the Rhinoflex. Since then I have never had a sewer site I couldn't reach.

On another note... sometimes twenty-five foot ain't enough water hose neither...

I like this one. Telescopes and swivels. Never a need to touch the poo.

For the hoses, get what works, only you will know how much hose to get. Of course, as soon as you think you have enough, you will get to a park that has the drain clear at the other end from you trailer drain.

As for the hose support, there are a number of parks, and community's that require the hose be off the ground and supported in a way to provide adequate drainage. They can be a pain at times, but good to have.

Once at the coast we needed an extension. I had one and was glad I did!

I like the Rhino Flex also you can compress it down or pull it out to the size you need.
