Tikitim,
thank you for the info on the Thetford water saver. I'm not sure what type of toilet we have in the Passport but will definitely check this out.

Please explain the basement wall mod to me. I can't tell from the picture what you did. I have the same model.

I relocated water pump and bath sink plumbing more to left side of compartment which opened up more space in front of upper floor support. I directly mounted rear basement wall onto the support and this in turn gave me more floor space in basement. The wall is now strait across except for the last 12 inches or so instead of a roughly 4 ft. of angled wall. I hope this explains things, if not, when weather gets better I can post more pics.

Got it, thanks. I'll take a look in the spring when I get the cover off. I am already planning to put some rubber under the water pump to reduce noise and it would be great to eliminate that angle while I am at it.

Remind me in spring, and I will take more pics of pump for you. Trailer usually comes out of storage around May 1. I can take pics. than.

Your mods are great. We tow the same 5er with an 08 GMC 2500 cc gasser. I had planned to move the storage wall and will copy your idea. I am also curious how much difference the Trail Air pin made. I have been pleased with the way ours tows but wondered if the Trail Air pin would help smooth the ride of the 5er. I hope our HC social group saw your ideas. Your implementation was as good as your ideas. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks

Thanks for the compliment. The Trail Air definitely makes a difference in the ride and in my opinion it is well worth the investment. If you want the ultimate, you maybe want to check out the Trail Air Tri Glide. Thanks again.

Tikitim,
On the auto level mod, did you do that your self? or did you take it some place? How much was it? I like the 6 point level system... Did you have hydraulics on the front pads or were they able to install a hybrid system?

I did the mod myself, took about 1.5 hrs. Trailer has 12 volt landing gear. I think I payed around $200.00 but this was part of the deal maker when I bought the unit. Check it out here http://www.intellijacks.com/

Very nice mods and pictures are great. How did you mount the wire shelving brackets when the anchors weren't a option (3M double sided tape, maybe)?

I used E Z anchors where necessary.

I find this especially annoying over the kitchen sink. When the light is on and I am looking for something in the overhead cabinet, I can't see a thing.
Where do you find lights to replace the stock ceiling lights?
Also, can you tell me more about the propane gauge and the toilet sprayer?

Light was found at an RV surplus store in Mich. Propane gauges come from Costco, about $10.00 each and toilet sprayer is from a Thedford Water saver kit. It comes with wall bracket, bowl seal and all necessary parts. Easy to install as the connection is behind toilet at top of bowl. I hope this was helpful.
