Bal Lock-Arm Stabilizer Bars

Those of you using the Bal stabilizer bars, are they as effective as claimed? For Fifth Wheels, will stabilizers on the front landing gear be adequate, or should they also be used on the rear jacks? If these bars are used, can the front tripod for the pin box be eliminated? Would appreciate any feedback. I am looking at making these mods to a 2012 Cougar High Country 291 RLS.

Steady Fast

Congrats and welcome, we have a 2011 and have orderded a Steady Fast which should be here next week. There is a thread about 8 down from yours where Jim & Kay have added one to there's. IMHO the Bal system requires too much set up and tear down time (tow bolts on each leg). All's ya need after whichever system you go with are a good set of chocks (no TV power=no brakes) you can forget about draggin around the tri-pod. Happy Camping

Steady Fast

I was not aware of the Steady Fast and am now looking at those as well as the JT Strongarm. It seems as though all users regardless of brand are satisfied with the results. Thanks
