Well now have a safe journey! I was born and raised in SE Idaho (Pocatello)...moved to Oregon to attend College. You may already know that you must re-new your RV plates (tags) every December. If you don't mind me asking... where in Idaho?

Rick, I see you're "retired but not slacking." Make sure you stay hard at it! Uh, do you realize that it snows sometimes in Idaho?

You made a good choice - Idaho is a beautiful state. Lived in Idaho when I was in the service (Idaho Falls - Navy Nuclear Power class of 70-2) and next to the state when we lived in Pasco, WA.

In the Coeur d 'Alene area.
Will really enjoy not having to spend $320, next year probably $400+ to license my truck!!! Can even get MSUCATS personalized plates again. Cali would charge $85 extra a year just for those (or it used to be).....

Where we are leaving the winters are worse than here in the Coeur d' Alene area...

I was raised in Torrance, when there were dairys everywhere. Eventually, they were all pushed out of the area, even though they were there first. California will either add catalytic (cowalytic) converters to all cows or they will assess carbon tax for each one, or maybe both

Carbon tax is already showing it's ugly head here! Nuts, just nuts! Other taxes will be going up. Since places like California, New York, etc. base income tax on the adjusted income from Federal tax, they will take a big hit if the Fed's give us a tax break. It's time, time to leave.

And today we made an offer on a home North of Post Falls!!!!! Happening very quickly.
Good to know I will not be paying $319 for a 2002 Chev Silverado and possibly over $400 next year!

Funny. I flew for an outfit who leased the airplane to Cal Air Resources Board for a couple of weeks in 2008 to evaluate the Calif environment by sniffing the air. A few of the targets were the feedlots and dairies in the southern San Joaquin Valley. I asked the rep onboard if he was going to install cat converters on cows. Mumbo jumbo response. That contract for the four engine jet cost the state taxpayers a lot of money.

I escaped the state in 1992. Bravo to MSU for doing the same.

Headed to Caldwell, Nampa, area in 3 years, Oregon is nearly as bad as Ca. IMP. Having been in the state goverment here for 25 years, you may or may not believe the SXXX this state does. I seen it and don't like most of it. I can live out my retirement years in a house better than here, cheaper than here with about half the tax's and without the crime rate as here.
