Blow out damage

Saw these pictures in another forum I haunt and thought I would share.

Driver didn't have a monitoring system. He was driving along when the truck started bucking and swaying. He looked in the side mirror to see sparks and debris flying out from the wheel well of the TT.

Luckly no one was injured.

Re: Blow out damage

Just a quick point I realize many post they had a tire blew up. I am sure some do blow up. That I have witnessed or heard many times. But, also what happens is a tire is low, picked up a nail, valve stem leaking etc. Since it is not on the TV many drivers do not know they have a problem. After the tire goes flat and that could be miles later and continues to be pulled at highway speeds they start coming apart at that point. Big and little pieces of tire are throw away from the rotation. With a passenger vehicle maybe not much damage is caused. With a RV it could be a lot worse. Another reason the TPMS is a good deal.
