Unhappy change thermostate

I have a duo therm by dometic would like to replace it with a
honeywell rth5100b,in reading the forum I see most people use
the hunter.
I like the high low read out of the honeywell for heat/cool.
anybody have pictures of the wiring,
and is there a reason the hunter is used so much?

The Honeywell you want will work fine. The connections are the same as the Hunter. I currently use a Hunter but have used Honeywell units in other trailers. I think the reason the Hunter is so popular is that it was probably the first to be widely used to convert from analog to digital. It was also probably the cheapest around. From there it went viral and that's the one you read about in all the forums. Your choice also has a backlit display which is nice.

Happy Camping!

I put green wire to G white to W yellow to Y and red to R
left the jumper on.a/c would not work fan would come on
then go off heater would work if I had it on fan then went to
auto but would not work if set on auto
it was only 60 degrees out today maybe thats why the a/c would not
come on?
any help would be great

From everything I have read, the red wire is not connected to the new thermostat. Look here.

went back to the trailer today taped the red wire, and put the brown and
blue togeather heater works good a/c came on but did not hear the compressor.
It was 62 in the trailer I put the a/c down to 59,I didn't let it run to long
though it might be to cold outside think it was 60 degrees.
but when turned the heat setting up the heater came on so that part
is working. just don't know about the a/c
