Labs4life,
That round pipe is hard to find in a light weight style. If you can only find schedule 40 in 5" diameter, you might want to look at the square fence post covers. They are much lighter and the 5" square one is big enough to use a piece of PVC rain gutter to make a "drawer" that you can pull out so you're not sliding that expensive sewer hose into the holder. There's a couple of threads on here that have some pretty good pictures of the rain gutter drawer mod. Good luck with whatever you decide, most anything beats the rear bumper storage !!!

It is 6 inch sewer and drain. I had this piece laying around for awile. Out of the sun, UV will destroy the integrity of this style pvc. Another reason for painting with plastic paint. If you use the post cover it is UV resistant, no paint required. The 6 " s/d is about $16 compared to the 5" post cover at $25. Add the paint and cost about the same. I think the 6" s/d is a little lighter than the 5" post cover, but not by much. The 6" s/d is a little roomier inside. I do know that Carter Lumber in our area does carry 6" s/d and many fittings. I used 6" round furnace duct caps for the ends. They were donated by the H/C neighbor! I am going to add another sewer storage, I have a 3rd piece of drain hose and the 90 degree end is a tight fit in the one storage with 2 hoses. I will need to buy another piece, no more laying around. This time I will put "clean outs" instead of the caps.

I too once had a 5 inch square post mounted across the bottom from frame to frame on my former TT for my stinky slinky and sure was nice for the storage but if I only knew that my black water tank was sitting right above my modification (hidden by the underbelly Coroplast). After leaving a camping outing, I decided to traveled home with the tank not emptied and figured the slushing around would break up the solids making it easier to drain and it ended up with a 12 inch crack from the weight of the waste rubbing against the slinky storage. BOY, what a mess and SMELL
I removed the storage and relocated it to the front of the TT just behind the Tongue and after pricing a Black Tank (forget it $$$), I decided to repair it myself, (not difficult as all). Glad I did that then but all behind me now since I purchased my existing 5th wheel! So...Good Luck!
