Missouri fall foliage?

We will be in Kansas City the weekend of Oct 24 for a NASCAR race. We want to hang around a week or so afterwards, especially if the fall foliage is in season. What is the opinion of those here that are familiar? Would that last week of October be too late?
Any ideas for a great COE or state park are welcome as well.

Timing should be good for colors. Probably have to go south to around Table Rock Lake (Branson) to stay at a COE camp. Most north of there close end of September. Table Rock has some nice campgrounds.

There are 8 COE parks in Missouri Table rock and Bull Shoals lake are southern Missouri . I ordered a Coe rv camping book from Amazon with 600 Coe parks and 200 lakes around the country. I Would think fall colors would be fun south Missouri and north Arkansas.

If you're wanting lots of trees and hills try NW Arkansas! 4 hour drive from KC. Daughter lives in Fayetteville and wee stay here when visiting.

Great level sites and close to a lot of things to do.

Love it! Actually going this weekend to see new Gdaughter! There's a great park called Devils den just south of there we hike all the time Just beautiful!
