We bought our 300mp new in Aug of 2013. Overall it has been a great unit for us we have been full timing in it since Jun of 2016. We have made many upgrades and modifications for durability and FT use. Installed our Sleep Number mattress from our S & B. Removed stock couch and installed a reclining love seat and added a table and covered bench for dinette in slide. We removed the lower u shaped seating on the happy jac so we could haul our golf cart in the garage and also added a spendide W/D vented combo. Replaced outside steps with Torklift Glow Step Revolution steps. Replaced locks on doors and compartments with RV Locks. The most important upgrades we made were replacing the suspension with the MORryde 8k Independent Suspension System, adding Disc Brakes and replacing wheels and Tires to Goodyear G114 215 75 R 17.5's. The 16" tires are known for failures, since the upgrade no more issues with tires (was going through a set of tires every 1500 miles!) and we now have a suspension system that can be aligned! We had a hitch custom welded so we can double tow our Jeep Wrangler behind and have also reinforced the frame around the pinbox.
Used to have a 2008 RAM 3500 dually 6spd manual but was over on CGVWR and with the cost of newer PU's with higher towing capacities decided for cost and safety to switch to an HDT truck and now Tow with a 2005 Freightliner Century. (Check out pic in signature)
I would recommend that if you don't have a lot of RV experience to have an RV Inspector look this over before you buy it! Upkeep and routine maintenance are so important especially on all sealed surfaces to keep water out! That would be the most important thing to be careful of in my opinion. Best of luck!
