where do you buy parts?

I just bought a repo'd 2007 Fuzion and there are a million small things that need replacing, including light bulbs and some of the circular covers for the recessed ones. A variety of other things (screens, window handles, blinds). Where do you folks look for stuff like this? I'm not paying Autozone $7 for a freaking light bulb!

There are lots of places to buy RV parts for less than the asking price at the dealer's storefront. Try the big box stores, HD, Lowes, WalMart, Ebay, for starters. Also, do a Google search for what you're looking for.

You can buy LED lights for about 30% of what you quoted for Autozone prices. Google it, Ebay it, check out the clearance aisles every time you go into CW.

And, just so you know, RV's are like boats. They are inherently expensive, break often and usually when you least expect it.... Personality? Don't make it angry at you

The two happiest days in an RV'ers life: The day you buy the new one and the day you "FINALLY" get rid of it......

I have had good experiences with pplmotorhomes. Prices fair, reasonable shipping costs and fast delivery.

I buy my Eternabond from best products and my RV stuff is usually from Tweetys. Once they sent me the wrong part and they sent another that same day and had the driver pick up the return.

Amazon.com

Any RV place is going to have a serious mark up.

I have to highly recommend Factory RV Surplus!

http://www.factoryrvsurplus.com/

They have the hard to find parts that other places don't seem to know about. They also sell coroplast and "underbelly tape" at a great price! Personally, I think we should add 6' (2m) of underbelly tape to the "recommended tool kit for an RV".

If I can't get it through a supplier from my work then I get it from the local supply store listed above by Ron.

Or another local store that sometimes has better prices on reconditioned parts.

Route 66 online store had a lot of the small items I was looking for because I just bought a 2008 camper that needed a few small items also. But the shipping was crazy high. For example the plastic piece that Holds the bottom of the curtains in place was 3.50 and weighed like an ounce but when you went to shipping they called it 1 pound well I wanted 5 of them so I had some spares. I had 2 other small its so it was 7 pounds in shipping weight which was like 35 bucks. That was the cost of all 7 items and the actual total weight was maybe a 1/2 of a pound. I went to Amazon. Com and paid 5.40 for shipping instead.
