Did anyone have one of these installed and if so at which location?

I had two Fantastic fans installed when we purchased the unit in '08. One is located in the bedroom and the other in the main living area. Both replaced the original factory fans located in the same areas.
If you would like further comments or information about them, please send me a PM.

I purchased one and installed it at the top of the steps next to the shower stall, works great. Got power from the light next to it.

Fantastic Fans

I have installed two of the Vortex replacement fans. The first one I installed was in the bathroom to replace the small, useless, noisy fan that was there. It was so easy to install that I decided to put another in the livingroom/kitchen which I wired with power from a nearby light. It does a great job exhausting steam and odors from both areas.

The Vortex Fan is one-third to one-quarter of the cost of a Fantastic Fan from Camping World and others. The other benefit is that there is no need to re-do the seal around the trim on the roof, since the total installation is done using the existing vent/fan housing from the inside.

There are a couple drawbacks though. It is a single speed fan (exhaust only) with just an on/off pushbutton switch and it's noisy. If it's being installed in a location for continuous use, I don't believe I'd recommend it, and I'd go with a Fantastic Fan.

I too replaced the puny bathroom fan with a Vortex. Noisy but livable..

My kitchen has a Fantastic fan but the switch for it was not conveinent where they had it. I bought the upgrade that made the fan reversible as well as gave me a remote for it that I mounted in the kitchen work area. Pricey but worth it IMO.

I just replaced the High speed, High pitched fan in the bathroom of our 2012Cougar 297RKS. It went from high pitched mosquito to a lower pitched roar. It is loud in the small bathroom space but the DW and I like it better. We did have a Fan-Tastic Fan put in the living room vent. It is a great device and we like it but it was too pricey (IMHO) for a less used bathroom fan.

I looked at the Fantastic fans today but decided to get the 2 Vortex fans. CW had them for $52 I couldn't see spending the price for the Fantastic fans.

Anyways I installed the first one in the bathroom. It was easy to install but would have been much easier with a second person.

The second one will go over the bed. It will have to wait for next weekend. This one will take longer. I have to run wires from a near by light to get power.

We have the fantastic in the living room. It also has the switch in a inconvenient location. I love the set the temperature feature and forget it. Evn tested the rain feature and it did work. Opened back up after the the rain ended. Very nice. How do I get a remote added that was mentioned?

Fantastic Fan

Rueben,
We had the dealer place the Fantastic Fan in the bedroom vent. Better for sleeping with the windows open and when sitting in the living are it's quiet enough to watch tv, crack the back windows and WOW what a breeze. As a side note with a RHDW that requires 220 degree shower water the moisture is pulled right out

We found that our 5er had very poor ventilation in the bedroom and over the winter we had the dealer install a new vent in the bedroom. We had picked up a Fantastic Fan at CW last summer. It was kind of pricy but on sale. Can't wait to try it out this summer. Based on all I have heard I am expecting it to be quiet enough to run at night and powerful enough to get some good circulation going. Hate running the a/c at night.

Deluxe Max Air

We put the Max Air in the vent in Kitchen/Living Room area, it has a remote that can be set by themostat. It has intake and exhaust with multi speed fan and a cover that allows it to be used during rain. We really like this fan.
