What are they, Why does it

Hi, I have two hoses at the rear of my 2012 Springdale 293 I don't know what they go to or there purpose. One of the hoses is plugged and the other drips when only when the pump is on it seems. Is there anyone that could help me out with this?

Your low point drains, one the hot side, the other the cold. Used to drain the water from the system when they are opened by taking the plugs off and your faucets are opened.

Thank you for the quick reply. Should there be a plug in the one that is dripping too?

Yep. No need to let it drip.

Do those have "plugs" on them? From the pic I don't see any. Mine have screw on caps. Those look like you might turn them to the right and close the line or to the left to open them?? Either way, those lines should be "closed", "plugged" or capped when the trailer is in use. When shutting down the trailer open them and drain the lines as Chip mentioned. They shouldn't leak when the valves/caps are closed. You should also have another line (single) extending below the bottom that is capped/plugged to drain your fresh water tank.

Looks like they froze and the bottom of the cap blew out or maybe someone lost the rubber sleeve on the fittings and over tightened the caps and popped the center out of the caps

Okay, armed with my new knowledge, I got under the trailer and looked, touched and turned. Here is what I learned, it does turn to the right to tighten and it is the hot drain leaking. I tried tightening it and it still leaked. Is there an O-ring in there I need to change? I assume all I will need to do is unscrew it until it is off and put in a new O-ring. Does anybody know the size of that O-ring? I'd prefer not to take it all apart until I have what I need to fix it.
