How cold before winterizing?

We have a 2011 32RES. What is the coldest it can be before winterizing the trailer. We want to use it during deer season in Indiana, November 13-29. We will be leaving it at the hunting site and going on weekends.

I think one would need to know the weather/climate pattern for that particular area at that time of year before properly answering your question. If you are anticipating a prolonged period of freezing temperatues, I would take steps before that occurs to ensure that you are prepared well ahead of time.
It isn't wise to start winterizing in the midst of a cold snap as it is probably too late.
If you're at all concerned about the time frame and the weather at that time of year, I would winterize beforehand.
You have asked a difficult question ----- you are in the best position to know what the weather/climate patterns are. Winterize accordingly.

I know some members only blow out their lines and drain the hot water tank to winterize and have had no issues. I for one do that and add the antifreeze. My point being is that if you take up an air compressor you could posible just empty the HW tank and blow out the lines and low point drains before you leave. Then just fill it back up when you get back.

I am no where near a season vet however it's just a thought. Hopefully some of the real vets will chime in.

System Draining

I do the same with my 2011 Outback 329. Only had one issue last winter in the freezes of the north GA mountains. A little water was captured in the plastic fitting that feeds water into the toilet flush system right on the back of the bowl. It cracked. Pressure on; ut ohhhh! Pressure off! Replace $5. All ok.

Had a 2005 31ft Hornet; 2 winters. Same service; no issues.

I use a Sears air compressor and tubeless tire vave stem. Clean the lines by blowing out system from a high point (kitchen for me) for about 5 minutes and looking under the low points to ensure no further water is capable of building up.

I DO NOT USE MY FRESH WATER TANK so it remains drained and with fresh RV anti freeze in it.

After Nov 1 in GA I always drain my hot water tank every visit and use.

I spent 6 winters in IN.....it's cold and early! Prepare early and be safe!

I know that in the spring, I dewinterize in mid April (upstate NY). Night time temps can get down in the mid to upper 20's. I have never had any frozen or damaged plumbing. This is largely due to higher daytime temps providing thermal warmth to the camper and would take prolonged cold temps to hard freeze internal plumbing.
There have been a few nights though when temps got to low 20's and got nervous, so I fired up the electric heater and opened cabinet doors to expose plumbing to the heat.
