Was looking over a 2015 Cougar Xlite 33RES yesterday and was amazed to see the bed slide didn't have cable extractors but the couch slide did?? Wonder why they install two different systems on one trailer??

I know some of the trailers come the other way around with a cable slide for the bed and hydraulic for the others.

Our 27RKS has a cable slide in the bedroom and a through-frame electric slide in the main cabin. Quite a few travel trailers/fifth wheels that I've seen use different types of slides in the same coach. I think it depends more on size of slide and/or space available to install the mechanism more so than keeping everything the same in the coach. I haven't seen hydraulic slides installed in the XLite series yet. Hydraulics tend to be more in the "heavy weight" fifth wheels.
