Defrosting a turkey

I was thinking about defrosting the turkey in the fridge but as we all know RV fridges have a mind of their own Sometimes the top level will freeze things and the lower level doesn't.
Would it be better to defrost it in the sink with water or try to do it in the fridge?

in the sink with cold water is my favorite method.

If you are having problems equalizing the temps in your fridge
get one of those tiny fridge fans to keep the air stirred up and
the temps balanced.

Since my turkey roasting is done at home using a pellet BBQ, I defrost in the fridge. RV fridge's aren't made for that type of activity IMO, so I would probably defer to the sink method.

Cold water in the sink is the way we go.

Every year I try to defrost our turkeys in the fridge. (RV or home) It never seems to work and last minute I'm up to my elbows in the sink. This Thanksgiving I went straight for the sink. Actually a brining bag and salted water .... Pardon the pun ... but two birds with one stone .... it worked great.

I would go with the sink method as well, works well and will not mes with the fridge. Good luck and enjoy.

What is the cooking method?

So the consensuses is that the bird in the sink is the way to go I put it in the fridge as I'll be gone tonight and then in the sink tomorrow for the turkey day
Oh and I did a pref-it in the oven to make sure the damn thing fits and it does
