Lippert spring hanger bracket beef up strip

I wonder why Keystone is not installing this simple bracket on the frame when they have the frame built by Lippert.

It is OEM installed on many Grand Design RVS..

The origiinal design was made back in 2003 and if you look at the drawing it has been revised several times with dates in 2021

This bracket installed on all spring hanger brackets would certainly help minimize the possibility of folks breaking the factory bracket welds

Of course many of the broken spring hanger bracket welds are caused due to folks backing their RVs at extreme hard angles. this puts a lot of added stress and side load on the spring hanger brackets

The design is simple, low cost, and is also, currently being sold on Lipperts website:
https://store.lci1.com/ang-3313-x-33...13-103727.html

These brackets could also be easily made using the drawing specs and then having them welded into place.

First image is a typical broken spring hanger bracket

The next three images show the beef up strip that was welded on at the factory for Grand Design RVs

Last image is the Lippert drawing of the beef up bracket strip

Those brackets are installed on my Lippert frame. I suspect that taller spring brackets get the extra bracket installed whereas shorter spring brackets do not.

The brackets are a standard Option on 2021 and newer Grand Design fifth wheels. Keystone needs to do this
