TPMS receiver

I installed my TPMS it came with a booster that has to be connect and instructions suggestion is connect directly to the battery which I did and all works great. My question is the booster has a small light that will stay on while connected. My rig while at home is on shore power and while camping connected to power. Will I have a problem with my house battery and the booster draining it. I’m thinking not but I’m still a rookie at all this. Of course in the directions it states there will not be an issues. But we all know how much we can trust the manufacturers.

As long as you are on shore power or charging from the tow vehicle it won't be a problem. But if it really bothers you, just remove the ground wire from the battery until you are ready to travel.

I leave mine hooked up so I can check the air pressure when I stop by to check out the trailer every couple of days.

I have my booster connected to the battery with clips. When not traveling, I just disconnect it from the battery.

I installed one of these in the battery compartment so I didn’t have to fool with disconnecting. I have an inverter and don’t want anything drawing power when boondocking that I don’t absolutely need

This is what I do as well. When I forget to disconnect it it does not run the battery down.....but I do keep it hooked to power virtually all the time.

My TPMS booster also ran the battery down. It was not on shore power at the time of course. So I just pulled the alligator clips off the battery until I plan to use it again, like this coming weekend.

I have the TireMinder system and love it. It was so easy to setup.

I have the Tireminder as well. Instead of wiring to the battery with clips, I pulled the hot wire from the running lights and wired it there. That way it only runs when I have it hooked up with lights on.
