Internet n tv

What does everyone do for internet n tv while camping. Haven’t had a problem till this weekend. Problems with cable n internet at camp ground. Tried running off hot spot of phone first day worked. Second day a no go. Thinking of Getty no the Furrion router in the camper. Any ideals

We have Dish TV at the house and when camping use a Playmaker antenna and Wally receiver and get the same channels as at home for $7 additional per month. We have a USB hard drive attached and often record shows while parked in our slot on our property to watch when nothing suits us on TV at the time; mostly favorite shows.

sprinter20, please post a link to this plan; I went to the T-Mobile website and saw nothing about a plan of this sort.

Look at the Antenna mounted on the trailer... if it is a Furrion batwing it is under recall for tearing off while driving. The replacement is the Winegard 360+ which has a gateway modem and booster for both wifi and 4GLTE

I ordered the InstyConnect after doing much research with boosters and other improvements to signal. By putting the router in the antenna, there is little to no LTE/data loss, and that full signal moves down the USB line to their router. The problem with most conventional antenna setups is that the antennas are not the issue - the problem is the signal loss from the antenna to the router and/or modem inside the camper. This simple concept is why InstyConnect is able to MAINTAIN the speeds to the modem/router.

If you watch his videos carefully, a lightbulb should go off in your head and you will see the genius. His antenna design is simple but efficient. His router and software (using OpenWRT) are designed to be simple and just works. The price tag (~$500 for 4G, ~$1000 5G) is inexpensive based on comparable boosters only, without the antenna and hardware.

It is going to be quite interesting what other companies decide to do if this product really takes off.

And this is coming

https://youtu.be/IDb1w3dbvAQ

We have Starlink at our current property. Works great, uploads are not the best yet for video conferencing (Skype/Zoom) but should get better as more satellites get into orbit and more servers on the ground.

Downs loads are 60-120mps

We use our phone and attach it to the HDMI port on the TV. Then use sling internet TV and watch ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, and 50 plus channels. We pay a $35 per month and have no contract and watch it at home, on our phones, laptops any connection to the internet. After March madness I sometimes cancel the service and watch youtube and amazon prime. There is so many options using the internet.

Newer Samsung (android) phones and tablets use a usb type C port. They sell adapters for them as well as the lightning type for iPhone or iPad.

Yeah we use the Apple HDMI adaptor all the time. Can down load your Apple movie/tv purchase and some Prime shows to watch when we don’t have service

As posted above yes with an adapter. Also there are hubs that you can then connected it to multiple things at once. Then I can connect it to the TV and to the charger to keep the battery charged while its being used. Below is a link to an adapter.

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...5ba7347a20375e

I found the hub that I use and I paid double then what it is listed for. If its not the exact one it is close. Its in the RV.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...odtag105229-20

It plays 4k and the tv that Keystone put in the RV is 4K so the picture is really good.

Not to confuse the issue but most "modern" television sets have a usb inlet on the back. Check your manual on it's ability. When they first started showing up thay were onlty there for a tech to upgrade the tv firmware. Some could charfge a phone some couldn't. Now days most of the usb inputs are capable of the same function as a hdmi input.

I just had this conversation with Keystone this morning....apparently, Keystone is only authorizing the Winegard Air 360 and not the 360 Plus as a replacement to the Furrion Bat Wing Antenna. They are instructing the dealers to leave the base of the Furrion Antenna attached to the roof and mount the Winegard over the top of it as the 4G LTE & WiFi antennas are in the base of the Furrion and can still be utilized. Personally, I think that is "MICKEY MOUSE" and wrong to not replace a defective product with a comparable one. We are getting short-changed here after spending 10's of thousands of dollars on our rigs. I told the Keystone rep I will just buy the 360 plus and install it myself.

I would ask the dealer to provide the anrenna and that you will install it. Then sell it to offset the sost of the one you want. I don't see it as "Micky Mouse". The only thing missing is the ota antenna and that's what they are replacing. Expecting an upgrade IMO is not reasonable.

You are correct. I was told the same thing when I contacted Keystone. I also complained about why didn’t they just replace with the 360+ so everything would match. Just got the run around answer. I was told they keystone would entertain authorizing the change to the 360 + if I would pay the difference and was told get an estimate for the difference and send it to them. Which I did. Tried getting up with the person who sent me the e mail stating the above and she no longer works for them them. Now I’m getting the answer no they will not it’s an upgrade.

The other thing you need to check on I been dealing with att about the SIM card. I was told by winegard since I have att cell service and on my plan I have unlimited data all,I need is the att some card and the winegard router will run off my cell plan. However when checking with att being told I would have to add a separate plan and the cost is 80.00 per month. I’m still checking on that. Just can’t get anyone above the age of 18 to give me an answer they keep, calling it an additional hot spot.
