OK, I guess I didn't understand that part. When I had such jacks, they bolted straight into the beam, plate to plate. This sort of visualization failure is why I like to post photos.

I have power jacks on mine but in discussing with a friend who asked what I thought I suggested remounting the scissor jacks on an angle to the frame vrs mounting straight with the frame or cross member. He had asked what I thought about alternating them to provide more stability.

Honestly, I don't think there is any way that you can install scissor jacks that will increase lateral stability. They will move side to side installed at any angle. IMHO the only way to stabilize scissor jacks is to add the JT Strongarm or BAL system to them. Another way to decrease lateral movement along with vertical bounce is to install the stabilizers below. Even then, they will stabilize in one direction only...side to side, not front to back. The XChocks do help with the front to back movement but don't eliminate it.

If you already have the scissor jacks then in my mind the best investment you can make is the Strongarm or BAL system.

Why? Scissor jacks at any any angle other 90° will end up with them folding up. They are designed for a straight load from top to bottom only.

Stability with any "RV system" requires triangulation (attachment of solid parts at different angles) to achieve stability. No matter which angle scissors jacks are attached to the frame, they will provide only ONE point of stability. There are two more required to achieve "triangulation". BAL or Strongarm systems will provide the "other two attachment points"....

There isn't "any other means to stabilize scissors jacks".....

If your rig uses scissors jacks for stabilization they with loosen after setup, especially on non paved surfaces.
Get it leveled, jacks down and tight. After several hours ir overnight moving around recheck jacks.
Most likely they have settled, loosened. Just tighten till snug.
Tighten evenly and don’t raise to level.
