I live a stone's throw from you. If I'm not using my TT and everything is off, I don't mind leaving it completely unpowered at whatever temperature Arizona throws at us. But if I need to have the refrigerator operational, I can't leave the AC off. I've discovered that if I leave the thermostat at around 90°, the temperature in the food section is too high to be safe, so it has to come down to at least a livable temperature. There's no happy medium.
It might be more economical to invest in one of those portable automobile refrigerators, leave your RV fridge off, bring your food to the RV already cold, and keep the portable unit plugged in inside the RV for a day or so until the RV fridge is up to speed and the food can be transferred.
I will add that due to the vagaries of the RV refrigerator mechanism, initial cooldown can sometimes be achieved quicker and more efficiently on propane than shore power, due to the propane burning hotter than the electric heating element.
