Awning thingee

Anybody know how to fix this. Looks like some sort of awning “support” is working it’s way out like the drawstring out of my shorts in the wash.

That’s called the “gimp” you may be able to push it back in, if not cut it and put the piece in the other end. A tiny screw will lock the gimp in place.
