Leveling your RV

How does everyone check your level side to side?

With a level stuck to the outside on the front?

Large level on the inside, across the floor?

Large level across the front, behind the propane tanks?

I use the Camco “acculevel” mounted on my pin box, and place required number of lynx levelers under the low side. Once set I lock the wheels with X chocks.

Initially used a large level across the tongue (side to side) and on the floor (front to back) to mount the little levels stuck on the front and side. I can almost make out the one stuck on the front of the TT with the rear view mirror and the DW double checks me. While unhitching I do a double-check to ensure I can level front to back, else I add extra blocks under the jack as needed.

I use a small torpedo level on the tongue by the hitch, which gets it pretty close. I use a three foot level on the inside floor if I want to get really level.

I use the Anderson levelers under the wheels. They work great.

I've used small levels (1' or less) on the floor or on the fridge. Fridge has proven problematic in this one since I can't access it enclosed. I like something in the middle vs on the tongue, back bumper etc. The fridge seems to always be a tad off from the floor but nothing to worry about.

Bought new Andersen levelers this year and the Level Mate Pro. Seems to work well and looking forward to getting acquainted with them with further use.

I mainly use a level glued to the front of the trailer to get close. I always shoot for a hair high on the driver's side as both of my slides are on that side and will pull it down a bit.

I use 2X4s (1.5" thick) and 3/4" plywood so the best I can do is within 3/4". When between 3/4" intervals I leave the driver's side high and it works out when the slides are open.

The main way I can tell how well I did is if or how fast the bedroom door swings when I put it halfway through its range of motion. I'm usually not camping for long so I don't go for perfect. As long as my beer doesn't slide off the table I'm generally okay

I use a 36" Stanley level. while parked in desired spot still hooked up to truck. I know my trailer is level on level ground.
I use 2" x 8" PT planks under wheels, I have 2 stacks of the lego blocks. Has worked for me so far.

I use a LevelMaster 10" bubble level, mounted to the pinbox. Easy to see from the cab and 1 mark equals 1" of height equals 1 plastic block under each tire on that side.

It's easy to locate where I want to park, check the level, count the lines on the level, pull forward 1 foot, lay the blocks, back up 1 foot and done...

To answer the OP's original question, a bubble level screwed to the front cap.

Before attaching the level I used a 4' level on the floor (linoleum covered section) and leveled the camper front to back and side to side. Then attached exterior bubble levels with the side to side level mounted in the center of the front cap.

I bought the Bluetooth Level Mate Pro but have not installed it yet.

I use a bubble level on the power tongue jack for side to side. It's pretty accurate after I shimmed it.
Then I disconnect and use a 2' level on the outer frame rails for front to back. As your heads are against the front wall I like the front a little high.

We seldom stay in any one place more than a couple of days so I'm not real fussy about level. Close is close.

I will put a level on the floor for side to side to leveling. Will then put the level on the exterior wall above the axles and check.. If wall is 90 degrees to the floor, which it should be, the wall should be plumb. Will then look at the bathroom door, if it will stay open at mid point and not close or open that is good.

Only wood worth carrying is worth burning. I use Anderson's and a 4' level Wife holds it on the side and I pull forward and done one time. No guesswork. I keep them in a water bucket I use to put water in the black tank with one of those orange thing's.

Hit the level button. Confirmed by a 98 cent WalMart torpedo level that was confirmed by a 36 inch Harbor Freight level that was confirmed by a Starrett 98.
