2017 Cougar XLite 29RES grey tanks

Just picked up my new rig and the guy doing the walk through said it had two grey water tanks. The brochure only talks about 60 gal capacity, not two separate tanks. He said one goes to sink, etc and one to shower. Anyone heard this before and anyone know how to find out the size of each? Kind of bummed because it doesn't seem very efficient.

Highly doubtful there are two as your floor plan has only one bathroom. Kitchen is adjacent to the bathroom so I can only imagine that the island sink is plumbed into the same bathroom grey tank. To be sure, keep the gate valves closed and check your master panel for both grey 1 and grey 2 levels after using your sinks liberally. I only have one grey tank and grey 2 always stays empty.

Re: 2017 Cougar XLite 29RES grey tanks

2 grey water tanks are quite common in the rv industry. If you have a 60 gallon grey capacity I would suspect you have 2 tanks. Look on the outside of your trailer for a second grey dump valve. From your floor plan I would think it will be somewhere around the axles (probably tucked up underneath the trailer).

I have a 2017 29res and it has 2 Grey tanks. The dump valves are lined up as black, grey 1, grey 2. 30 gals each

This is becoming far more common.

Sorry...I should have said there are two grey water valves. Really only question is if they are hooked together somehow, but I suppose if they were, there would be one dump valve.

Thanks...do you know what feeds in to each? Is it the kitchen in one and the bathroom in the other?

Correct. The valve next to the black tank valve is your shower and bathroom sink. The valve on the far right is the kitchen. I ran water in my new clean tanks to indentify them before the first camping trip.

Since you have the same model. Did you add a camera and did you get the Furrion that is made for the bracket that comes on the rig? And when you store your rig, do you level it with the jacks or just put the front ones down?

Don't laugh, but I take my wife's iPhone and a suction cup mount for the bumper, then call my phone with face time. Works great. I store my rig in my yard, plugged in to a 30amp service, tires inflated 10psi higher than normal, with both landing gear and rear jacks down, leveled

No....that's creative! One last thing. You know that outdoor shower/water supply? I got a hose with nothing on the end.....i was expecting a hand held shower spray but the dealer told me it doesn't come with that. Not that I don't believe him, but I don't believe him. What came with yours?

My Cougar came with nothing on the end as well. Not a problem as we will never use it or the W/D hook up. So far I've only seen the outdoor shower used 3 times. Two of those were used to connect to the black flush inlet, one to wash a dog.

Re: 2017 Cougar XLite 29RES grey tanks

Seems weird the brochure calls it an outdoor shower. It's a hose!
