Wow, stuck on the highway for 18 hours! Man oh man! Atlanta refused to send salt trucks out, because the weather was too bad!

Yeah, I just saw an interview with the Atlanta mayor. He claimed no responsibility for letting all city employees off work at the same time as the schools.
Houston city employees were told to stay home well before. Our local schools were closed for 2 days. Most thought that was overreacting, but it's definitely better than under reacting.
We had sand trucks and magnesium chloride sprayers out well before and during the event.
I'm sure lots of folks up north don't understand, but we just aren't prepared for ice & snow. Not near enough equipment because it rarely happens.

Yeah he is in the same league as Marion Barry and the Toronto mayor, puff puff pass. Even Florida closed their schools, in preparation for what eventually happened down there.

The mayor is changing his tune. Just saw him on CBS news. He's claiming responsibility. Scott Pelley asked him about the same thing happening in 2011. Well...that was much worse, and the weather people were wrong on the forecast this time. No they weren't.
