what is your emergency kit for the mechanicals on your RV. I am a newb and am thinking...
tools
fuses
pex repair, if applicable
test light, meter
dump hose repair
fresh water hose repair
electrical tape
duct tape
light bulbs
jack
lug wrench
tire press guage
spare set of wheel bearings, seal and grease
some of that roof repair tape
can of brake parts cleaner/solvent
pb blaster or wd-40
crimping tool
little bit of spare wire
connectors
Any other suggestions?

There is an extensive list of "stuff to have" that can be found right here on the forum. Go the Prospective Owner's Questions forum and find the first and only sticky called "New RV Owner's Checklist (by Slowpoke). It's right at the top of list of threads.
It's all there for you to browse through or just print it off and keep it for reference when putting together your emergency kit.

I think it all depends on how much traveling you'll be doing away from home.
For most parts I find them to be pretty much generic and can be found at any auto parts store.
I would though add plumbers putty and duct tape to your list.
The duct tape keeps the kids inline

I referred you to this sticky which was developed for the purpose of helping newbies, like yourself, to put together a kit to help get them started as well as saving our members some time and effort in providing information that already exists and is instantly available by clicking on the sticky.
My intent was not to deprive anyone of having "fun".

well
sheet rock screws, pipe strapping, wire ties, ladder, cordless drill/ impact driver, bolts n nuts, and an extension cord, just to add a few. oh silicone lubricant. wd 40 and pb blaster aren't lubricants. I keep a fully stocked tool box on the freightliner along with jacks and including a motorcycle jack.

1. Adult beverage
2. Cell phone - for calling repairman
3. More adult beverage and a good lounge chair to set in while waiting for repairman to show up
4. More adult beverage (could be a long wait!)
5. Optional - hearing protection - depends on DW and how she accepts 1 thru 4

6. Debit/credit card to pay for more adult beverage while waiting for repair guy.
All kidding aside....
Since I'm pre-retirement, wifey and I spend our RV/camping trips within 2 hours of home 99.9% of the time.
A first aid kit will help fix me if I get broke.... A small general tool kit and/or a trip to Walmart can fix the rest.

May need to change #6 to a few hundred dollar bills in the tool box, debit/credit may not be accepted by said local repair guy! LOL

I didn't see a torque wrench listed....but pick a good one and make sure you have the right sized socket and possibly an extension before you store it away!!

All you really need is a cell phone and a credit card with a good limit. After that it depends on your personal skill level.
