saggy roof
I can't get a pic right now as rv is in storage facility. I have 2 yr old passport. roof is slightly arched and you can definitely see the support beams and have been able to see them from the beginning. now the roof appears to almost be sagging at one of the cross beams. the roof has give/squishy, but appears intact with no holes. Is this normal settling. I feel like I better have some eternabond tape on hand if the area is weak and does not remain intact. Just wondered what other people see up on their roofs?

I can see the trusses in mine as well. The roof is only as thick as luan under the rubber roofing. It will not support much weight. I eternabonded the roof after the warrantee was up. I had a leak in the last camper. I don't want to go through that again.

you used the tape? and just run it across where the beams are? should i do this preemptively as this is a weak spot prone to tear/leak?

Your roof should be able to support an "average" person's weight and will flex or give slightly if you were to walk on the areas between the trusses. Some give is normal and not cause for concern. If you are worried about the weight on the roof, then I would suggest that you place a padded piece of plywood under those areas where you are walking or kneeling.
I can also see the areas on the roof where the trusses are located and; in some places some of the trusses are a touch higher than the area between them. I don't consider those areas to be "sagging" and am not concerned about their appearance or feel.
I am not sure if placing Eternabond tape over these trusses would provide any additional protection against separation or tears.
I may be wrong but I believe the layer under the rubber is something like 1/2" or 5/8" plywood, particle board or some other equivalent material. If someone has the actual specs on the roof material, it would be interesting to know for certain. Normally, the luan used in RV's is 1/8" or 3/16" ---- I hope the roof layer is thicker than that!

thanks for your replies. i kinda figured on just watching it for now. it is stored under roof. i just never had this on my previous camper, but it didnt have the curved trusses either. i always appreciate input as to what others see and what i can expect. i will consider using eternabond if the area looks like the integrity is failing. i don't like the way it looks but will just keep eye on it for momement.

When I purchased my '07 Keystone advertised "walk-on 3/8 plywood roof". Now they just say "Fully walk-on roof and slides" for fifth wheels and "Fully walk-on roof" for TT. I would assume they are still using 3/8 for roofs on both as that would be the minimum for walk-on. It holds my 250+ body so it must be okay. ... Yes Festus2, it does flex considerably and even groan a little but not enough to concern me. That reminds me ... it's time for spring cleaning and UV protection.

Speaking from recent experience, the roof pieces I pulled out of my trailer as I pulled the limbs out of the roof were 3/8" OSB. It was not rated "Exterior Grade" so I'm guessing it shouldn't get wet.....
I've walked on my roof without any problems since I bought the RV in 2010 and would still be walking on it if it weren't being repaired from that darned tree that decided to take a stroll across the rafters LOL

I only put the Eternabond on the seams to prevent any leaks, not on the truss areas. The roof underlayment on the passports is not 3/8 thick, and I wouldn't dare try to walk on it. I do as Festus suggested. I use a board on carpet or thick pad to distribute my weight over a larger area.
