Converter

I have a 2002 Keystone Cougar 276. So far, the camper has burned up two batteries, and I would like to take the converter in to be checked. When I open the area up where I think the converter is, I do not see anything like the picture the customer service tech sent. I don't have a dealer very close, so Id like to do this by myself. Can anyone give me some instructions on what exactly I am looking for so I can remove the converter like the tech said?
Thanks

Here's mine:

It's the lower portion of my breaker box. The silver thing at the bottom is the cooling fins. Behind that is the converter circuit board.

If your rig is a 2002, you may have an old technology converter that does not have smart charging. That could be cooking your batteries. Get the brand name and call their tech service and see what you have. I'm not sure I would spend very much $$$ on an 11 year old converter. The money you save on batteries may come close to paying for it.

I agree with Bob....I just replaced our "World Peace" 55 amp convertor in our 3 year old 327RES.....u can take it out and test it yourself but whats the point....buy one on line and thrown it in....30 minute job.
