Slides Work Intermittently - From In Command Or BCM

2017 Raptor, 44' Triple axel. Three slides, Main, Kitchen and Master.

Not original owner, we have owned it for about a year. No problems with unit when we bought it, was in great condition. Slides worked fine the few times we used them.

Spent the winter in Florida, 5 months in the same location. Packed up to head north April 1st and kitchen slide would not go in. Reset InCommand panel and slide went in.

Got home and put all 3 slides out, then attempted to put them in and Main slide worked, Kitchen would not go "in" from InCommand panel. I could hear the relay click in the motor, bump, bump, bump, when I pressed the InCommand panel "in" button, but no movement. The motor would engage, and i could hear the motor when i pressed "out"(but slide was all the way out). The Master bedroom slide, once all the way out, would go "in", but not "out" again, all from the InCommand panel. Reset BCM(killed power, waited, powered back up), same issue. Tried on shore power(plugged into an extension cord from the house, using a dogbone power cord plug adapter 15 amp male to 50 amp female locking connector), and tried on generator power, same issue.

Started to swap BCM square fuse thingys, but no luck.

Brand new Battery(Optima AGM) once we got back from FLA.

Any suggestions appreciated. TIA

Have you tried using the switches on the control board down in the pass through? My understanding is these should still work if the problem is your panel. If those don’t work, most likely the control board.

slide issues

I was just about to post the same thing. My 2017 Fuzion did the same thing fall of 2020 and they replaced the in command control board under warranty. Worked great until two days ago and now doing the same thing again. Acting just as you described. I also replaced the battery. The slides do not work with the override in the passthrough. Have tried while hooked to shore power and with generator going but makes no difference. Afraid that the control board has gone out again which should not be the case.

I’ve only seen the control board go bad on a couple trailers. One acted similar to what you guys describe, the other went into travel lock and wouldn’t do anything. The owner had important papers closed up in the bedroom that he needed to get to. When it goes into travel lock, nothing works, can’t even open the slides but manually running the pump (it was an Alpine so hydraulic pump). Worst case scenario for you on your cable slides, bring them in manually.
