Under-seat friction pad?

I was wondering if anyone knew of some kind of thin semi-sticky rubberlike pad that I could put under my dinette seats to keep them from falling out every time we hit the road. I assume a lot of people probably just use strip Velcro for that, but strip Velcro never lasts more than one summer in the Arizona desert and leaves glue goobers all over everything when it melts.

My first thought was to use some of that grated material that you buy in a roll to put in your top cabinets to keep your dinner plates and cups from sliding around, but so far it's been a big failure. I'm imagining something thin and dimensionally rigid, like a car floormat, but with a surface texture that's like the sticky goop stuff that kids play with.

We had a dinette. We stapled some of that drawer material you refer to to the seats and it helped. Still would slide a tad and our camper is old and the cushions needed to be replaced so I pitched the dinette and put in a table and two chairs from Ikea. The chairs are more comfortable.

We gave the bench/chair issue a lot of thought before purchase. Ultimately, we needed a grandkid bed, and the storage drawers were a bonus.
Someone offline suggested "dashboard sticky mats" for car phones etc. I'm researching.

You might want to consider the "sew on" type of Velcro. We use it for a lot of things around here. Unzip the cushion covers, position the Velcro sew it in place, then mark where the matching Velcro goes on the back wall of the dinette (not under the cushion, but behind it) and then staple that part of the Velcro to the dinette frame. No glue, no "glue goobers" every fall and it'll last until the staples rust away or until the Velcro dry rots.

All of the non-slip shelf liner that we've used only lasts for a few months, then the cushion movement "polishes" the non-slip surface and it becomes "anti-friction movement enhancer"...
