BAL LS 7.3 Issues

The passenger side rear leveling jack on my 2018 Outback 324cg will not extend. In manual mode I can hear a click as if the electric motor is trying to engage but the jack does not extend. I consider myself handy but unfortunately I have no experience with electric motors. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to trouble shoot the problem?

Welcome to the forum

If there is a manual override, I would try that. Post the results.

The manual override will move the jack up and down but the motor will not move it at all.

I’m not familiar with that system, but can you apply 12V directly to the motor?
If there is a connector, make sure it’s tight. Then test again, no go I would then pull the plug, have someone press the button while testing the power coming to the jack. If your getting 12VDC+ then I would say the motor has probably Failed.

Hi! I'm having a really similar issue. Did you ever figure out what was going on? I have a 2018 Outback 330rl.

Last time the OP logged in was July second. It’s now late September and he never replied. What’s going on with yours?

All the jacks work with no problem except the rear stabilizers. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. They sound like they want to come down or retract if they were already down but they just stop or don't move at all. I've seen the issue pop up on a couple of threads but no solutions yet. It seems like it could be a known issue. We have a 2018 Outback 330RL.
